For all you pancake lovers – and I believe most dogs LOVE pancakes. Here is the recipe for healthy, high in protein and fibre, no guilt pancakes.
Ingredients:
1 c chickpea flour
1 c Quinoa flour (or buckwheat flour)
3 heaping TB freshly ground flaxseeds
2 + 1/2 c Veggemo plant “milk” (or brown rice milk, or oat milk)
3 tbs olive oil
mix all of it together, let sit for 15 min. add: 2 c of finely chopped up greens (spinach, kale, parsley)
Melt 1 teaspoon of coconut oil in a frying pan (I use non toxic ceramic pans) add 1 label of the mix cook on medium until the edges are cooked and bubbles appear in the middle – about 4 min – then flip the pancakes and cook for another 3 to 4 min on the flip side.
Repeat until all the batter is done – you ll need 1 teaspoon of coconut oil for every pancake.
To serve: Arrange in doggie dish, cut it all up, add their supplements and the blueberries on top. Voila.
A very substantial and totally cruelty free breakfast/supper – This amount was for 2 – 35kg (each) dogs. It made 3 pancakes each.
